This week we’ve stacked out platter with NL records that first hit the bins fifty years ago in 1974. That was the year that we celebrated our silver anniversary of confederation with Canada which spawned loads of music. We’ll check out four tracks from the Songs of Confederation Celebration LP including the winner by BETH HARRINGTON and the runner-up by DAVID BARNES.

Also on the turntable and still with the Confederation theme, DICK NOLAN sings ROY PAYNE’s Happy Anniversary Newfoundland. Plus great country music from ANN BUTLER, RAY BRODERICK and REX HEMEON. And you’ll also hear a pop track from the band that had something like an eight year continuous gig at Gander’s legendary Flyer’s Club… SEVEN YEARS LATER.
